Have you ever thought about being a foster mum or dad? These are people who look after our homeless cats and kittens whilst secure permanent homes are found.

You don't have to give your whole house over to your temporary visitors, although some do; you can just use one room, or even have a pen or two in a suitable place. It doesn't matter if you have your own cats, as long as they can be kept separate. It doesn't matter if you work, as long as you have some spare time to devote to the cats. It doesn't matter if you can't do it all year round, as even just looking after one while another fosterer is on holiday is a huge help.

All you need is a love of cats.

We are in urgent need of more foster homes. You would be given help and support from the branch – and even help towards paying for the food.

Read more about Fostering from three current foster mums, who care for our cats in different ways, telling you of their own experiences, both the joys, the rewards and the occasional sadness.

Fostering is a very rewarding experience, so why not join us?
